Mostly Sauron haha.

I drew the main forms he takes in the book; from left to right: Númenor, Gorthaur, Dark Lord (post Númenor), Annatar and Mairon.

Two scenes: The first time he puts the master ring on his finger and Númenor drowning. The two (random) portraits are Lúthien and Beleg. :p

All of them © J.R.R Tolkien

While I've never read The Silmarillion, I do plan to though, I love your designs of Sauron. :)

After Numenor Sauron lost his beautiful form, and your "Dark Lord (post Númenor)" looks like others. He probably looked similar to the Peter Jackson vision of Sauron. But yeah good arts :).

Amazing paintings! Sauron looks even better as I imagined him while reading the book!

I love all of his outfits and forms, its very interesting. I especially love how genuinely shocked Sauron looks during the Drown of Numenor, lol. X3

Two small objections: Sauron lost his fair bodily ..form in the drowning of Numenor, and afterwards was only a spirit of evil, still with all of his evil, but deprived of a body. Secondly, the drowning of Numenor takes place many thousands of years after the loss of the silmarils, which happened in the First Age.(The Silmarillion) The Fall of Numenor is close to the end of the Second Age.(the Akallabeth)

Sauron loses his body but is able to recreate one everytime he is destroyed, until the ring is melted. He's not just a spirit. And I don't get your second point....?

All of your paintings are excellent! There is however a slight mistake, at the Númenor drowning, Sauron could not possibly be wearing the ring, since he left the ring in Middle Earth. This is deep lore so not really important. Great work!

This is true and wrong lol, it is indeed said in the Silmarillion that after returning to Mordor Sauron took up his ring again, but in a letter he says Sauron actually had the ring in Numenor and used it to corrupt its people.
My pic is wrong for another reason though; when Numenor was drowned, Sauron was on his seat in the temple, laughing at what was going to happen to Ar Pharazon and his army, and apparenly taken by surprise by the wave lol.

I especially like the emotion in that scene, even if it is not wholly accurate to events.

Oh my word! The fall of Numenor! It's perfect! I'd adore a basic tutorial step by step on how you sketch up roughs of bodies and faces. I'm a learning artist and your work is simply gorgeous.
